Business in the Community (BITC) information and resources
Business in the Community (BITC) supports the Trust to integrate corporate responsibility into our core business practice, achieving clear benefits for the Trust and its staff and ensuring that the Southern Trust area is a better place to live, work and do business.
Through our participation in Business in the Community’s campaigns and programmes, the Trust has collaborated and helped to bring about lasting change in our organisation and in our local society.
The Trust has been working with Business in the Community for several years as part of our commitment towards being a good social partner. Our Workplace Health and Wellbeing Strategy is based upon Business in the Community's Workwell Model. This successfully integrates all aspects of staff engagement and health and wellbeing alongside our objectives with the core purpose of maintaining and improving staff health and wellbeing across the Trust.
Due to challenges relating to Covid-19 BITC are unable to continue to deliver their Link & Learn series face to face and are working with facilitators to deliver events online where possible.
Link & Learns are bite size, topical learning sessions for staff, delivered online by experts who addresss a range of subjects, including wellbeing and inclusion. Please check the Events section of UMatter for updates.
